Born in 1955. Anil completed his Architecture at the School of Planning and Architecture at Delhi and went on to work extensively in offices in Delhi. He joined GRUP.ISM in 1979, and rose rapidly to become one of its Directors. He has been involved with the designs of diverse projects ranging from low cost housing, to high technology research and development facilities. He has been responsible for the designs of a series of a health care facilities - both rural as well as urban.
In 1987 the "World Health Organisation" appointed him a consultant. He has designed primary and secondary level health care buildings for the Royal Government of Bhutan as well as advised them on up-gradation and improvement of their tertiary level hospitals. He is a visiting faculty member at his alma mater, where he teaches nuances of design and architectural practice.
